Karnataka Legislative Assembly on 12th December 2024 has introduced the ‘Karnataka Labour Welfare Fund (Amendment) Bill, 2024’ with an intent to revise the current employee, employer and the State Government contribution under the Karnataka Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1965, from twenty rupees, forty rupees and twenty rupees respectively to fifty rupees, one hundred rupees and fifty rupees respectively. [EE:ER:SG::Rs.20:Rs.40:Rs20 – Existing Rate of Contribution] [EE:ER:SG::Rs.50:Rs.100:Rs.50 – Proposed Rate of Contribution]
