Karnataka Government Proposed to make Karnataka State Factories Self Certification Scheme 2024

The Government of Karnataka vide Notification No. LD. 80 KBN 2024 dated 04.01.2025 proposed to make Karnataka State Factories Self Certification Scheme 2024 with an objective to bring spirit of voluntary compliance on the part of the Occupier and to reduce multiple visits by the Department Officials for inspection without compromising on safety, health, welfare and working conditions of the workers as well as service conditions. It will apply to all factories except ones engaged in hazardous process, or factories licensed to employ more than 250 workers or in which manufacturing process under Rule 129 of the Karnataka Factory Rules read with Section 87 of the Factories Act is carried on.
