The Governor of Tamil Nadu Vide G.O.(Ms). No. 77 dated 20.01.2025 had declared Wednesday the 5th of February 2025 i.e. the Poll Day to be a Public Holiday under Explanation to Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 for the Bye-Election to Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly from 98. Erode (East) Assembly Constituency in Tamil Nadu. Further all employees working in Erode and neighbouring District but registered as voters shall also be given a paid holiday on 05.02.2024.
