Vide Notification dated 18/03/2024 the Maharashtra Government had published “Maharashtra Labour Welfare Fund (Amendment) Act, 2024, vide which amendment has been brought in sub-section 2 of Section 6BB of the Maharashtra Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1953 which deals with contribution. The rate of contribution of an employee and of the employer vide amendment Act, 2024, has been revised to Rs. 25 and thrice the employee contribution which will amount to Rs. 75 respectively.
In this regard, a Public Notice has been issued by the Maharashtra Labour Welfare Board confirming that the revised rates are effective from June 2024 and all establishments (factories, shops, establishment, trade, associations, hotels, restaurants, banks, hospitals, societies, orporations etc.) must pay the employer and employees contributions through online facility at https://public.mlwb.in starting from June 2024.
