The Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) (Gujarat) (Amendment) Rules, 2021

Government Of Gujarat vide notification No:GHR/2021/82/LBL/192020/510460/M3 has amended The Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) (Gujarat) Rules, 1981. As per the amendments, (i) In case of electronic payment, authentication through signature or thumb impression in muster roll, register, return may not be required by migrant workers and contractor for establishments which are not covered by enactments such as The Payment Of Wage Act, 1936, The Minimum Wage Act, 1948, The Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, 1970 (ii) The amendments also removed the provisions towards display of license in premise, audit of accounts pertaining to the canteen, display of abstracts of the Act and the Rules, notice shall be maintained in clean and legible condition.
