Government Of Karnataka Announces Inspection Of Units Or Establishments Permitted To Operate Under Stipulated Conditions

  1. The Governemnt of Karnataka vide notification No.DFB/Misc/CR-07/2021-22 has announced “Inspection Of Units/Establishments Permitted To Operate Under Stipulated Conditions”. The above notification is line with the Government of Karnataka Order issued by Chief Secretary and Chairman of State Executive Committe directing “All Export Oriented Units (EOUs)/ Establishments engaged in Exports to function with 30% Strength and All Permitted Industries employing more than thousand persons to conduct COVID 19 Test randomly twice a week till 14th June 2021”. In continuation to the above order, the guidelines have been issued under the notification dated 8th June 2021 and therein permitted certain units or establishments such as Essential Commodites and Continuous Process Industries with 100% workmen, Export Oriented Units (EOUs) with 50% workforce and etsablishments engaged in export of other goods with 30% workforce. In addition to this, Units/Establishments employing thousand or more person are required to conduct COVID 19 test randomly for 10% of their workmen twice a week. The permitted units/establishments must ensure adherance to SOP issued by the National Directives of COVID 19 managements and inspectors of department of Factories and Boilers have been further instructed to make surprise visits to units/establishments and report compliance in the mentioned checklist. Additionally, no other Units/Establishments other than those permitted to operate during the period of Lockdown and Govt. shall initiate action for any violation of the above issued guidelines. Employers of Export Oriented Units(EOUs), Continuous Process Industries and Establishments engaged in exports are requested to make note of the above directions and ensure strict compliance.
